Hi all,
The First
Shama Club (Singapore) Talk on Sun 11 Dec 2011 from 3pm to 5pm at Mini-theatre
at Whampoa Community Club, 300 Whampoa Drive Singapore 327737
We have
the honour of having two distinguished speakers who have many years of bird and
Shama keeping experience. Our speakers are:
1) Mr
John Yim - Former Warden of Jurong Bird Park.
He will
be speaking on the history of Shama birds, how to keep Shama in good form,
how to
prepare them for competition and nutrition needs of Shama birds.
2) Mr David
de Souza - Avid Shama breeder
He will
be speaking on Secrets of keeping Shama successfully.
This talk
is free and open to the public. Please indicate your interest in attending so
that I know how many will be attending. You are welcome to bring along friends
and family members too.

ps : Directions to Whampoa CC. On CTE exit at Jln Bahagia (exit 7B), immediately turn left onto Whampoa drive and then turn left into Blk 74 carpark. There is NO parking in the CC

Dont forget to mark your calender on 11th Dec from 3 to 5pm for the Shama talk. Its FREE and open to all who have a interest in keeping Shama. You can bring your wife and family too to get them to understand why a grown men is crazy about keeping Shama and dont forget when you are busy they are the ones who can help take care of them for you. After the talk your wife will probably let you keep another shama at home. Finger food and refreshments will be provided.
Again drop me a note to let me know that you are coming and how many from your family. (If the response is too good, we might have to shift to indoor stadium)

the interest for talk is gathering momentum. I posted info in Sg bird Forum and 3 hobbyist want to reserve places. Maybe we should start listing names or numbers of participants so that we don't fall short on seating or refreshments.

Alamak, this friday cannot lah! My granddaughter's birthday dinner ..... and she's going back to Switzerland next week! My daughter said die die must go dinner, can go chai chai another time
... i think that would be very nice if a video of this meeting could be made, mainly while the 2 speakers will share their knowledge !
This video could be seen by those who don't live in Singapore and are very interested in keeping Shamas, and also the informations given while the intervention of the 2 speakers could be really helpful for some other people.
Also, i think that if this video could be available on Youtube, of course in the name of "the Shama Club Singapore", then this could be the most direct way to help this Club and his Forum to be better known and increase, and for sure, such initiatives will give more enthousiasm for shama keepers ! For this, the Shama Club Singapore could also have its own channel on Youtube, nothing is more easy to do, this way the Shama Club Singapore could post its own videos in its name that could be seen by all shama lovers across the world.
... that is just an idea, but i think that this idea should be seriously considered because the intervention of 2 such quality speakers is an event that will be very interesting for many shama keepers from East to West.
